Recycling
organic wastes can be very beneficial
to the environment and less expensive
if done right. Yet less than 20% of readily
recyclable organic wastes are recycled
today. However, more companies, farmers,
and municipalities are discovering the
benefits of recycling organic waste through
composting. Ten years ago the US EPA did
not follow composting as a recycling method.
Today, composting recycles more waste
than any other technique
with the exception of paper and cardboard
recycling.
